Public comment requested on Lakeville Hospital site plan

LAKEVILLE — Input from Lakeville residents is being sought regarding the proposed 200-unit rental building proposed for the property located at 43 Main St., the site of the former Lakeville Hospital.

The project is a 200-unit mixed-income multi-family development that has been proposed by Rhino Capital.

The 200-unit affordable housing component is only one part of Rhino’s master plan for the property. The project will also include senior living facilities, multifamily housing and age-restricted 55+ cottages, according to the developer. 

Select board members have expressed concerns about the demands on the town’s water allotment and how the development might impact the rural nature of the town.
