Scouts make sweet donation to food pantry

MIDDLEBORO — For the third year in a row, the Sacred Heart Food Pantry received a delicious gift from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts.
As part of their Cookies for a Cause program, the scouts donated 115 cases of Girl Scout Cookies, including every one of their varieties.
“The clients are thrilled to be able to grab a box of their favorite cookies as they do their monthly shopping,” said Pantry Director David Cunningham.
Volunteers from the Food Pantry will be accepting donations at the annual Shaw’s food drive at the Carver store on each day of Memorial Day weekend, May 25, 26 and 27. Non-perishable food and personal care items will be accepted.
