LAKEVILLE – Three automobile crashes on Friday and Saturday evening meant that the Lakeville fire department spent their weekend responding to accidents, according to two Facebook posts from the fire department.

The first vehicle crashed near 242 Kenneth Welch Drive at around 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, according to the Facebook post. When the fire department arrived, the “heavily damaged vehicle” was unoccupied.

The second vehicle crashed near 144 Rhode Island Road at around 4 a.m on Saturday, Nov. 4. The accident “caused significant damage to the vehicle and a utility pole,” but the driver was able to get out of the vehicle. The driver “refused medical aid” from the first responders, according to the Facebook post.

Leah Comins, a spokesperson for the Lakeville police department, said that the 4 a.m. Saturday crash “remains under investigation by Officer Shawn Robert of Lakeville PD.”
