‘Finding Nemo Jr’ splashes into Alley Theatre

MIDDLEBORO — The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts will present “Disney Pixar Finding Nemo Jr” opening Thursday, May 2 at The Alley Theatre .

This 60-minute musical adaptation, directed by Middleboro resident Stacy Dawson, is a condensed version of the 2003 Pixar movie “Finding Nemo.’’

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo. Nemo longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

“Finding Nemo Jr’’  brings an underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure. With costumes designed by Middleboro resident Richard D. Bois, the show opens Thursday, May 2, with an early swim for young audiences starting at 6 p.m., and continues Friday, May 3, at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4, at 2 and 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 5 at 2 p.m.
