MIDDLEBORO — Stormy weather on Monday, Dec. 18 caused power to go out at the Henry B. Burkland School and the Mary K. Goode School buildings, which led to after school activities being canceled and students at all Middleboro public schools being dismissed from school early, according to a Facebook post from the Middleboro School District.

“We apologize for this inconvenience but the current weather situation does not allow for us to continue with a normal school day,” said the Facebook post. “As always the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”
