LAKEVILLE — Mullein Hill Christian Academy students are being taught fire science by the Lakeville Fire Department.

Fire Deputy Chief Pamela Garant and Lieutenants Ryan Silvia and Greg Bradstreet have been teaching students the definition of fire as well as learning how different fuels affect fire behavior, the concept of fuels being too rich to support combustion, and how fire behavior affects firefighter operations.

"This all came to fruition following a Fire Drill when I spoke with Principal Mrs. Priestly about the possibility of doing an educational class and she was extremely supportive and enthusiastic," said Garant.
