Wayne B. Williams

Wayne B. Williams of Middleboro passed away on April 11, 2024.  

Wayne was born on September 13, 1949 in Providence, Rhode Island to Herbert T. Williams, Sr. and Mildred C. (Bento) Williams.  The family relocated to Middleboro in 1955 where Wayne graduated from Middleboro High School.  Later, he went to work at Taunton State Hospital for 38 years, serving as a chauffeur and doing what he loved doing best:  driving.  Wayne loved cars and at an early age could name the make, model and year of any car he saw.  He also loved farming, gardening, reading the daily newspaper and the Bible with his Watchtowers.  A private man, Wayne will be remembered for his quiet presence.  

Wayne became one of Jehovah's Witnessess in 1982 and became a member of the Middleboro Congregation.  

He is survived by Herbert T. Williams, Jr. (Faye), Carol E. Wiley (Eugene) and Cheryl A. Gabourel (Glenn) with whom he resided for 41 years.  Wayne is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by Sandra (Mrs. "Binky") Gabourel. 

A memorial service will be held on May 4, 2024 (Saturday) at 1 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.  All are welcome to attend.
